There are only six more classes left in the intro to Judaism course and we just had our monthly meeting with our Rabbi (one of our favorite people on Earth) and we’re in the proverbial homestretch of the conversion process. Purim is also just around the corner… annnnnnnd all of my kids are sick…

New and busy
A lot has been happening as of late, a lot of good things bear in mind, just a lot. I have gotten new glasses and can see better than ever (though I’m still gradually losing my vision), and my new hearing aids are working very well and helping me to hear. I am beginning…
My B’nai Mitzvah
You’ve read correctly, our Synagogue (Congregation Rodeph Shalom) has a B’nai Mitzvah program for adults and it begins March 2nd and runs through a year, culminating in our leading a Saturday Shabbat service. We asked our sponsoring Rabbi and he said we should definitely go through it as a part of our Jewish life…
The Ukraine situation
I wish there was more I could do to help the people of Ukraine, as Russia tears through their sovereign nation waging a Nazi-like campaign to reestablish a modern-day adaptation of the soviet union. 1st year Yahrzeit
Yesterday was the 1st year Yahrzeit of my father’s passing and it was a difficult day for me and my mother. We lit the Yahrzeit candle, I said the mourners Kadish and had a rather somber time, though I did talk to my mom for a bit and we sort of helped each other…
One month down
My wife and I are one month into the intro to Judaism course and just over a year into the conversion process and with the first month down in the intro course, we’re growing more and more excited. The course has been phenomenal and we’re learning so much, including how to read and write…
Another class down
We had another class tonight for our conversion and it was incredibly awesome!!! We absolutely love the intro to Judaism course so far and get soooooo excited for each and every class. There are 43 people in the class with us and honestly, no one gets left behind and everyone interacts in the course….
